Dear Parents,                                                     November 22, 2010

We have much to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving week and at the top of my list is YOU!  Thank you for all your support and for sharing your children with me.  They make me smile everyday!

This is a very short week and therefore we will concentrate on the “Thanksgiving” theme in language arts and social studies.  We will review our spelling units through the playing of “Sparkle” and therefore will not have the usual spelling homework (or test).  We will continue with our writing projects, “If I were a pilgrim child coming to America… and a Native American pictograph story.  We will continue to work on the structure of a sentence – naming and action part so please check the daily planner for homework.  We will also perform our Readers’ Theatre Play on Tuesday at 11:00.  You are most welcome to join us!  We will continue practicing our basic facts in math.  In religion this week, we will continue working on understanding the Our Father and being thankful.

Please remind your child to bring their library book to school tomorrow so that they may check out a new one.  Remember, Book-It for November is due December 1st.

Water bottle sales continue on Tuesday.  Thank you for your support!

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.  Have a Blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Mrs. Manning
