Holy WeekAs we prepare for our Easter break this week, we have several important tasks to finish. If your child is not going to be at school every day this week, please send me an email so that I can arrange a different time for him/her to take the tests they will miss.  If you have not returned your child’s “progress report” envelope, please do so this week.

What we are working on this week

Religion: We are participating in and discussing the special events of Holy Week, as well as working on a Calvary Art scene and our 10 Commandment booklets.

Math: We continue our work in division and are also learning about angle measurement. This week students should complete two estimation ixL Math skills, B 9 and C 7.

Spelling: We began Unit 26 last Friday; we will have a test on this unit on Thursday.

Grammar: We will have the Unit 3 test (Verbs) on Thursday.

Vocabulary: With so many other things to do in this short week, we will not be doing any vocabulary; we will continue Unit 13 after Easter.

Reading: The reading log will be due on Thursday (or April 4th)  (3 days only) (click here for a copy) Reading log summary and Fluency Homework #26 will be due on Thursday (or April 4th) as well.

Social Studies: There will be a quiz on Studies Weekly issues 14 and 15 on Wednesday. We prepared a study sheet in class last week.

Science: We continue our study of Chapter 6, learning about earthquakes and volcanoes.

Wishing all families a blessed Easter and a restful week off, and thanking you for your continuing support,

Mrs. Mary Dwyer
