Fluency and Reading Log

Math IXL B.3 and S.2

Language No IXL but students were given a half sheet worksheet (Types of Sentences and Verb review).

Study for Math Test for next Tuesday. I will send Study Guide on Tuesday.

Study for Spelling Test (next Tuesday)

Poem must be memorized by next Wednesday


Religion: We focus on Prayer of the Faithful and preparing for Easter.  Stations of the cross at 2pm on Wednesday.

Reading:  Students are enjoying their partner reading books.  We have learned to leave “bread crumbs” in our chapter books.  Ask your child what “bread crumbs” mean.

Writing: We continue writing letters  about our favorite characters by giving at least two examples to support our opinion about the character.

Spelling:  We will take our spelling test on Tuesday.  As a reminder, some groups stay in the same sort for two weeks to help master their spelling sort.

Grammar: Reviewing Verbs  and learning about types of sentences.

Math:  Students took a pop quiz on Monday to check for understanding in addition and subtraction (with and without regrouping) and drawing an array.  We will wrap up our unit 7 by Thursday but will be reviewing all concepts until the test next week.

Science:  Different types of soils/Nutrients needed in soil

Tuesday:  P.E.

Wednesday:  Stations of the Cross at 1;50pm

Thursday: P.E./Library books due

Friday: Full Day/ In-N-Out:  Bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. (RAIN OR SHINE)

 

April 4th (Today) is the last day to place your order for Dippin’ Dots and In-N-Out on Friday, April 7th. Tickets will not be sold on that day, as they are only available by pre-order. Since this special event falls on a Friday during Lent, orders for grilled cheese sandwiches will be available in addition to burgers.
