Dear Second Grade Families,
Thank you to all who came to celebrate on Saturday! I appreciate all the guidance and spiritual support you gave your child during our preparation of receiving the Sacrament of Communion. I would like to especially thank Father Carlos. Also, a special thank you to Mr. Hinojosa for preparing our students musically for our Sacrament.
JOG-A-THON was a success!!! Thank you for all the support! I had a few students ask if they can still send in their donations. YES is the answer!!!

READING LOG (read 25 minutes a day)
RELIGION: We will play our fun jeopardy game to review unit 4. We will take our unit 4 test next week. Students who participate in the readings, psalms, prayer of the faithful, and taking up the bread and wine during our First Communion will participate in Friday’s mass.
LANGUAGE ARTS
READING: We have ended our book club reading. Please look in their Tuesday work packet for their Club Plan. Students did a great job working on their plan the last few week. The next few days of school we will work on becoming experts on characters and becoming experts on author’s craft.
Writing: opinion writing
SPELLING: Students received a new sort today. Their spelling test will be on Friday.
MATH: We will work on Unit 9 which is all about measurements. We will work on estimation using decimeters, centimeters, inches, feet, and yards.
Science: Complete frog life cycle
