Dear Second Grade Parents,

We have only 3 days this week and a lot to do.

A Peek at our Academic Week:

Homework:  Students must complete  a minimum of 125 minutes of reading this week.

There is no other homework required except for reading log.  🙂

RELIGION: Children are allowed  to bring something to share of their First Communion.

LANGUAGE ARTS 

READING:  We continue to discuss character traits.

SPELLING:  Students will receive their last spelling sort this week but will take their test on Friday, June 2nd.

WRITING  Students will choose their best opinion writing to read aloud to the class. 🙂

MATH 

Our focus the next few weeks  will be adding and subtracting three digit numbers.  We keep working really hard in this area because third grade will start with four digit numbers.  We will begin exploring perimeter, area and capacity.

Science:  We will continue  discussing the plant life cycle and animal life cycle.

Things to Remember:

Wednesday: P.E.

Library books due on Wednesday

Thursday, Friday and Monday: No School

THE WEEK WE RETURN TO SCHOOL…

Tuesday (5/30)  Music…NO P.E. 

Wednesday  and Thursday (5/31 & 6/1))  P.E.
