Our Week Ahead


Religion: We will be taking our Unit 1 test on Thursday. We will be playing “Stump the Shepherd” to help review all our Unit 1 concepts. 🙂

Language Arts

Reading: We are learning to triple check our reading by asking these three questions:  Does it make sense?, Does it look right?, and Does it sound right?.

Writing/Grammar:   We continue writing about small moment and adding details to our writing.  We will be working on Nouns, Verbs and Adjectives

Spelling: Study for spelling on spellingcity.com  Students will not get extra practice on spelling city at school these next two weeks.  I encourage you to allow some time to practice at home. They will be taking their next spelling test on Monday due to Friday being Veteran’s Day.

MATH: Base Ten Blocks; time; money; Writing numbers in four forms: written, base ten blocks, standard and expanded form. We will begin with daily word problems.

SCIENCE: Motion/Force


Days to Remember


Tuesday/Thursday:  P.E.

Thursday: Patriotic Attire for Free Dress (Red, White, and Blue) for Adopt-A-Family $1 or more.  We will be having a flag retirement ceremony. Please look at our website for time.

Thursday: Library books due!  Mass at 8:30a.m.

Friday: Veteran’s Day, No School!

Halloween candy is needed for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Adopt-a-Family.  Candy should not have any Halloween markings.

If you have started your holiday shopping, don’t forget to purchase a stuffed animal for Teddy Bear Day on December 6th.

Please make sure you check our website and family envelope for information regarding any events at our school.

SERVICE HOURS:  I need some pillows washed this weekend.  Please let me know if you are available in helping out.
