Dear Second Grade Families,
This week will be parent teacher conferences. Dismissal for students on December 10th-12th will be at 11:30 a.m. Students will receive their “Progress Reports” on Tuesday. I look forward to our conference this week.
Flat Mail: Our goal will be to write a letter this week and send a Christmas Card the week of December 15th. Please send your child with a Christmas Card by December 15th. Also, I requested 4 stamps from each student last week. If you have not sent in your stamps, please do so this week. 🙂

Study for Spelling Unit 15
RELIGION: Unit 1 test… We will continue discussing Advent.
LANGUAGE ARTS:
Reading: We began new reading groups today! Each group will be reading a book to practice our reading strategies.
Writing: This week we will focus on identifying nouns in a sentence, capitalization, punctuation. We will write a letter to our Flat Host this week.
MATH: We started unit 4 today! We will practice using a change and comparison diagram to solve subtraction problems.
SCIENCE: We will be completing our Animal Life Cycle unit.
Reminders:
Tuesday: P.E.
Wednesday: Library Books Due; 11:30 a.m. dismissal
Thursday: No P.E. uniform needed for 2nd grade; 11:30 dismissal
Friday: 11:30 a.m. dismissal
