Reading:  Many of you have gotten the hang of logging into Reading Glue.  If you continue to have trouble logging in, please stop by in the morning or after school.  Students should have 5 reading entries with 100 minutes total by Sunday night.  Many students are exceeding their 20 minutes a night!

All homework must be done in pencil and stapled together so it may be turned in on Monday.

A Peek at our Week:

Religion:  Unit 2:  Jesus Is God’s Best Gift

Reading: In class, we are practicing “Checking for Understanding” and “Make a picture or Mental Image” as we read. From here on out, I will be posting weekly “Parent Pipelines”. Parent Pipelines are one-sheet guides to help parents assist their children with their reading goals and strategies at home.

Read Aloud:  Amber Brown is Not a Crayon

Writing: Printing practice; Writer’s Workshop

MATH: We continue with Unit1.  We will complete this unit on Wednesday.  Our review unit test will be on Friday.  Practice greater, less than, equal to, simple addition/subtraction, skip counting and telling time to the hour and half hour.

If you read this newsletter by Tuesday evening, please send me an email.  Your child will receive a sparkle.  As you know, sparkles are a BIG deal in our class. 🙂

Have a Blessed Week,

Mrs. Vazquez
