The 6th grade is beginning to study the 4Worlds concept which is a critical thinking, analytical tool used for social studies. The concept for 4Worlds comes from USC International Studies program. The four worlds are political, economical, social, and cultural. For example the political world includes government, military, and laws. Using our Social Studies Weekly newspapers we read about the first civilizations and began to place their ways of life into the 4Worlds. We will continue to use the 4Worlds framework for each of the civilizations we study throughout the year.
