As we approach the end of school, we will be testing in some subjects (Grammar, Spelling, Vocabulary and Math) and wrapping up a variety of learning projects and activities in others.

We will be doing ixL this week (last one!): R 7, S 2 and 3.

We will be working on final drafts of our persuasive essays; these need to be finished by next Tuesday, June 9th.

We continue working in Unit 7 in Math and will begin working on an end of the year assessment this week.  Your child should complete journal pages 185-202 by Friday.

We have begun Unit 32 in Spelling; the test will be on Friday. Book pages should be done by Friday.

In Social Studies we continue reading about California after the building of the railroads.

In Vocabulary we will work on the words in Unit 17 and 18, doing book pages and a variety of other activities aimed at learning the words.  I will give the tests on these two units next Tuesday.

In Grammar we conclude our study of Unit 4.  We will do the review pages and the test will be on Thursday.  Students should be caught up on all of the pages for Unit 4, excluding the fourth page of each lesson, by Wednesday.

In Science class we are learning about electrical circuits and how electricity is converted into various forms of energy.

In Religion class we continue learning about the Beatitudes; we will work on a poster of illustrations for the 8 Beatitudes.

In Reading class we continue reading and discussing our final selections for the year.

General items of interest:

We will have another jogathon free dress day this Friday.

School yearbooks will be distributed to students in grades K-7 next Monday, June 8th.  If the yearbook is delivered to your home before then, please do not send it to school with your child until the 8th.
