Dear Families,

This Tuesday our five poem finalists will be reciting their poems for the judges!  I am very proud of all the students who recited their poems in class.  This Friday is a full day. Please remember that May 8th is our Jogathon! Please return permission slips and donations.

Below is an overview for our week:

Math: I will introduce creating and interpreting line plots with fraction units.   We will be taking our Unit 7 math test on Thursday. IXl section this week is Q.7.

Grammar: We will take our Unit 4 test on Tuesday.  We will then begin work on pronouns.

Religion: Chapter 17, God calls us to be holy.  After Mass on Friday we will have our May Crowning.  Please join us if your schedule allows.

Social Studies: Our focus this week is the four parts of the Declaration of Independence.  We will also be discussing Thomas Paine’s Common Sense.

Science: We will be focusing on the formation of the Solar System.  We will have our Chapter 7 test next Tuesday.

Vocabulary: Unit 10.
