Dear Kindergarten Families,

We are off to a great start! Thank you for coming to Back to School Night. If you were unable to attend, do not hesitate to send me an email with any questions.

Your children enjoyed checking out a library book on Thursday afternoon.  Please return books by Wednesday in order to check out another.

Friday is a 12:00 dismissal with no school on Monday to observe and enjoy the 3-day Labor Day weekend.

Our academics:

Religion-continues with Creation and Chapter 2 in our text, Names are Good.

English Language Arts (ELA) – focus letters and sounds of /Ff/ -/ Ii/. Listening to classic stories and discussing characters and settings. Writing workshop is showing much creativity! These writings are telling about self and favorite places.

Everyday Math-finds us learning cardinal numbers, listening as we count objects and one-to-one correspondence. This week 1.3 and 1.4.

Science- Lab on Tuesday- starting seeds-listing 3 main things plants need to grow.

Social studies- Observing Labor Day and occupations.

Have a nice week!

Blessings,

Mrs. Carol Brown
