Dear Kindergarten families,

We are off to a great start getting familiar with our new friends, classwork, routines, rules, and recess!! The My ‘Me’ Cube can come in any day this week,  we are anxious to share with our friends.

This week is a full week with a noon dismissal on Friday. Get ready for a three day Labor Day weekend.

Religion centers us with stories from the Bible and work to complete our posters for the 50 year celebration at Sacred Heart Church on Sunday, September 4. Come celebrate with special Mass at 11:15 and family fun after.

English Language Arts will continue to focus on our Reading and Writing Workshops, alphabet letter/sound knowledge through games, print practice and sight word work.

Our Everyday Math series finds us working with routines, calendar/weather, surveys and recording data. We are counting and comparing those numbers and doing simple number puzzles from our number grid.

Science lessons begin with needs of animals.

Social studies continues to reinforce knowledge of rules, understanding distance and directions.

Motor skills are Monday thru Thursday alternating in groups working with gross and fine movement concepts.

That should take us through the week!

Mrs. Carol Brown
