The 8th Grade Leaders are preparing for Friday’s student assembly! They plan to announce birthdays and coming school events, share with the students and staff about the importance of Labor Day, and remind everyone about how we recycle properly while we are at school.

Our Assembly for February begins this afternoon at 1:45p as we meet online to pray, salute our flag, and listen to a Lenten Presentation. The Religious Department of The Leadership Committee leads us today. Next week, we will meet for Families for our Friday afternoon activity.
As part of our school day, we pause our academic pursuits Friday morning and join the School Assembly Meeting Room for prayer. As always, 8th grade students lead us as we focus our prayers on healing.
Friday afternoon, our “school families” meet to enjoy the January activity planned by our 8th grade students. During last Friday’s Assembly, students talked about Martin Luther King, Jr. Our January focus continues during Friday’s activity as students make MLK, Jr Peace Flowers. We gather for our January Assembly led by The Service Department of The Leadership Committee. Following the prayer and pledge, our December efforts to help others and information about Martin Luther King, Jr will be shared. The assembly will end with the celebration of those enjoying January birthdays!
