The Art of Zen

The 7th grade has been studying ancient Japan. Many facts and features were learned about the government, military, religion, and arts. The students each created their own Zen garden to demonstrate their knowledge on the importance of nature and respect in the Japanese culture. Each garden was beautifully designed.

Life in Ancient Africa

The 7th grade spent the last month studying the great civilizations of Africa. They learned about the Silk Road, trading, and the geography of the continent. To complete our study they completed 4 Worlds charts on Ghana and Mali with an essay and then designed dioramas reflecting trade and geography. Up next-creating their own civilizations!
