Dear Kindergarten Parents,

I want to express my thanks to all parents for coming to meet for conference. I enjoyed discussing your children’s growth and progress in kindergarten.

In preparation for this Advent season, we are reading and discussing the first Christmas in our Children’s Bible. We tell about God’s great love for us with each discussion in class.

Practice for the Christmas Program continues….please take note of the letter Mrs. Lyle send home concerning clothes for this program.  If your child is a cook they will be working extra on memorizing their parts. We will be practicing on stage starting Wednesday!

Wednesday is a free dress it will help support our mission efforts.

Friday is a full day of school – School Families in the afternoon.

As the season of Advent begins, here is a special ‘message of hope‘ presented by the National Catholic Education Association. It shows the many Catholic education communities impacted by Hurricane Sandy. I will be using this link from NCEA to help your children understand the need to pray for others affected by Super Storm Sandy.

Message of Hope

This week we have science lab on landforms. We will be reading and responding to The Polar Express story and movie through worksheets and discussion. Math work continues with numbers 6-12.  Holiday worksheets following Common Core math standards reviewing patterns, matching numbers with number words, and skip counting with odd and even numbers.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Thank you for your children!

Mrs. Carol Brown
