Here’s what we are doing in first grade this week!
Language Arts: We are working on review and completing a number of Thanksgiving writing activities. We are working on a “Turkey Diary”, a book report from a story we read aloud in class, and learning facts about the Mayflower.
Math: We will be spending time this week in review. We will be playing a few Thanksgiving related games, too!
Science: We are taking a mini break from science to work on a special social studies project!
Social Studies: We are putting the final touches on our Readers Theater Thanksgiving play. Please help your child practice their lines. As this is a Readers Theater play, these lines do not need to be memorized. We will perform our play on November 23 at 11:30 in our classroom. Mark your calendars!
Religion: This week we are finishing up our chapter from last week: God Promised a Savior.
Homework for the Week: (Don’t forget to read every night!)
- Monday: IXL.com Skill H.1
- Tuesday: Practice Play!
- Wednesday: Read 2 times!
Reminders for the Week:
- PE Uniforms on Tuesday
- We will not have library this week.
- Our Thanksgiving play is on Wednesday November 23 at 11:30!
- No school on Thursday and Friday for our Thanksgiving holiday!
