Dear Parents,                          December 5, 2016

Here’s what we are doing in First Grade! And my goodness, what a busy week we have!

Language Arts: We are taking time to enjoy Christmas Around the World! We will be creating mini books throughout the week showcasing traditions from various countries. Each day will be a new country. We will also do our best to fit in a craft from this country.

Math: We will be wrapping up our current unit before break. We are practicing telling time to the quarter hour, reading timelines, and practicing our fact power. We will be taking our test in the beginning of next week.

Science: We will be doing a fun Christmas themed science experiment this week! We will be testing which cookie Santa will like the best! Please ask your child to tell you all about it on Tuesday!

Religion: This week we are focusing on preparing handwritten letters and cards for a number of wonderful people in our lives.

Homework for the Week:

  • Monday: Math Worksheet
  • Tuesday: Math Worksheet
  • Wednesday: Math Worksheet
  • Thursday: Math Worksheet
  • Friday: Read 2 times!

Reminders for the Week:
