Dear Parents,                          December 12, 2016

It was wonderful to see all of you last week during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Each day I am reminded how blessed I am to be your child’s teacher. Thank you for your constant support of your children, me, and Sacred Heart School.

It is Christmas galore in First Grade this week!

Language Arts: We are still traveling the world learning about Christmas Around the World! We have visited the Unites States, Mexico, England, and Germany. This week we are headed to Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, and Australia!

Math: We will be taking our test in the beginning of this week.

Science: Our Science lab was canceled last week, but we will be able to complete our fun Christmas-themed science experiment this week! We will be testing which cookie Santa will like the best! Please ask your child to tell you all about it on Thursday!

Religion: This week we are focusing on preparing handwritten letters and cards for a number of wonderful people in our lives.

Homework for the Week:

  • Monday: Just Read
  • Tuesday: Just Read
  • Wednesday: No Homework!
  • Thursday: Just Read
  • Friday: Read All You Can!

Reminders for the Week:

  • PE Uniforms on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Wednesday is a $1 Free Dress!
  • Wednesday night is our K-2 Christmas Program. The program begins at 6:30pm in Biedermann Hall. Please make sure that your child arrives no later than 6:15pm.
  • We will have library on Thursday.
  • We will be attending weekly school mass on Friday at 8:30. Friday is a noon dismissal!
  • Friday is a Free “Free” Dress for Christmas, a noon dismissal, and our Christmas Party! If you are able to help or donate, please contact the school office!
  • Christmas Vacation begins on December 19th and school resumes on January 3, 2017!
