Summer has arrived!  Friday is the last day of the 2011/2012 school year.

I would like to offer a huge thank you to our room moms (and room grandma!) for helping make the Wax Museum such a huge success.  The room was beautifully decorated and the food, not only stunning, but delicious.  The students did an A+ job with their presentations.  I do believe a good time was had by all!

Thank you for allowing me the privilege of teaching your children this year.  We worked hard and played hard.  They are now ready to “move across the hall.”  I will miss them but know they will have a great fifth grade year with Ms. Carney.

Please encourage your child to read every day over the summer.  I also recommend getting a math practice book and having them do some math every day.  Lakeshore Learning in Ventura offers a lot of great summer bridge books.  You can also find them at bookstores or order online.  It is crucial they retain what they have learned in fourth grade so their transition into fifth is smooth.  You would be surprised at how much some of them “forget” over the summer.

This Thursday we will have an early lunch with a noon dismissal.  It is Spirit Day so the students are allowed free dress.  Lunch is provided this day.

Friday we will attend mass at 8:30 and the students will be dismissed at 10:00.  There is no EDC this last day of school.  Report cards will be handed out, as well.

Again, I thank each of you for your support throughout the year.  Have a blessed summer and enjoy your children!

Mrs. Sharon Redmond
