March 28th-April 1st

It was wonderful to have so many grandparents visit our classroom last Friday morning.  The children and grandparents enjoyed completing an oil pastel art project together. Our classroom looks like a gallery!

I am happy to have a warmer and sunnier week ahead.  We could all use some sunshine and fresh air, especially after spending so much time in the classroom last week.

This week for math we continue to study fractions.  Our Family Life series is still the focus for religion. This week we will discuss God’s gift of self.   Rocks and minerals will be talked about during science lessons (a hot topic!)  We have finished reading The Cricket in Times Square and will be working on our final project for the novel.  The unit 9 English test is scheduled for Thursday.

Please make sure your child has chosen a 25 lines or longer poem to memorize.  The classroom competitions will be held the week of April 11th.

Blessings!

Mrs. Sharon Redmond
