Fourth graders are enjoying their new Catholic Youth Bibles.  This week, we read Matthew 5:1-11 and discussed the Beatitudes.  We have also been exploring the books of the Bible and hunting for which books are in the Old Testament, and which are in the New Testament.  I am encouraging the students to “embrace” having their very own Bibles and to feel free to read and browse through them in their free time.   Next week we will discuss parables and read the Parable of the Sower in the book of Matthew.
