We have an exciting week ahead!!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 13th, fourth grade will be exploring Rancho Olivas Adobe in Ventura.  This will be an exciting day of applying what we will learn about California’s rancho period.  Students will be shown what life was like on a real adobe rancho during the 1800’s in California.  We will leave SHS at 9:00, experience the rancho, have a picnic lunch on the grounds, and return to SHS around 12:45.  Please make sure your student is wearing comfortable clothes that WILL get dirty.  Also, send an old towel and a sack lunch.  Don’t forget the water bottle.  It is always such a wonderful day and I am very much looking forward to it!

Other news of the week:

The Chapter 3 science test will be on Wednesday.  Students are putting the finishing touches on their unit two hurricane essays.  Division is the focus in math for the next several weeks.  We continue to explore the proper usage of verbs during English.  The Ten Commandments will remain our for during religion lessons.

Have a blessed week.
