Dear Parents,

By now the news has spread that Mrs. Manning is moving to eighth grade and I will be the first grade teacher! It is with great excitement that I begin this position!

As mentioned in previous introductions, I am an alumna of Loyola Marymount University. I graduated as a member of the University Honors Program and received a BA in Communication Studies as well as the completion of two minors in Theatre Arts and Irish Studies. I am once again enrolled at LMU, but this time as a graduate student. I am pursing my teaching credential as well as my masters in education.

As Mrs. Manning moves into her new position with the big kids, I will move into mine. Although the first graders will miss her, she has been a wonderful school mentor to me within the past year and I am confident that the children will hardly notice a difference!  Overall we will persevere with our daily school routine and maintain our usual grouping schedule with Language Arts and Math. And of course, we will continue our excitement and enthusiasm for learning!

I am thrilled to be working at SHS in a position that provided the foundation of my own education years ago.  I look forward to getting to know your children and being in the classroom!

Miss Manning
