We will be attending Mass with our school families on Wednesday, celebrating all that we have to be thankful for, and looking forward to a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend spent with family and friends. May God continue to bless each and every one of us!

As you begin your holiday shopping, remember that our annual Teddy Bear Day is just around the corner, on Monday, December 5th.

As we begin our second trimester today, I applaud all of the wonderful work that the fourth graders have been doing. WELL DONE!

THE WEEK AHEAD:

Religion: We are working on Thanksgiving cards and our 10 commandments booklet covers.

Math: We will do the unit test on Tuesday. No ixL this week; students are to work on completing Math Boxes for Unit 3.

Reading Workshop: We launched our Mystery/Detective unit last week; students will start a new reading log, which will be due on November 28th. I am hoping that students will continue reading over the long weekend.

Reading Fluency: Not this week!

Spelling: We are completing the Unit 12 review pages in our books. No test!

Writer’s Workshop: We are working on final drafts of our stories.

Vocabulary: We conclude our study of Unit 7. The final test will be on Wednesday.

Science: We have a “limits to growth” lab in progress, using differing amounts of lima beans in 3 containers.

Social Studies: We continue our study of early Native Americans in CA.

Thanking you for your continuing support,

Mrs. Mary Dwyer
