Dear Kindergarten Families,
Wrapping a book from home library is a fun way to read during Advent!
In your child’s homework folder you will find their copy of Young Explorer. Read magazine together focus on reindeer. Use the “All About Reindeer” book response, draw and label facts from article.
Read a fiction book and report using Story Map. List other reading on Reading Glue or Reading Log
Spend time on sight words – noting they are called ‘snap words’ with our reading workshop. It is time to begin practicing spelling snap words. Use Snap Word chart to practice at home as have started in class. After Christmas vacation, we will begin to spell weekly in class.
110 math grid is coming home today to practice number sense. Play missing number by covering with a coin.
