Dear Kindergarten Families,

The homework that came in Thursday was fantastic! I sure enjoyed reading your children’s response to their Young Explorer magazine. 🙂

This coming week continue to read and do a family book response. I’ll link two choices one for fiction and another for non-fiction. Choose one depending on book they loved reading. Book-it forms are due end of the month. Please have your child sign their name and parent ‘s please sign – last month I had several no name papers.

Look for a bag of 3 small craft sticks – colored red and blue. This for a probability game – we made in class. Your children know how to play. And can teach you!  Drop the three sticks to see if it more likely, possible or unlikely to be the same or different. We have talked about the possibilities in class. Have them use the probability paper and record with tally marks to show their findings.

Use the 110 grid chart to count by 2s, 5s and 10s. Circle numbers in colors of their choice. For instance: 2s pick a color, 5s in a different color and tens with another color. Notice with your children how the 10s are circled with all three colors.

With Monday off- homework is due on Friday or Thursday.

Please return the 2 math papers and one book response. Your child can keep the probability sticks – we will make more for class.
