Kindergarten Families,

Homework packet for this week is math and reading. Understanding  graphs provide information and how to record data has been our focus this week. I am sending home a couple of practice papers to continue this skill at home and an interactive web link. Today we cut and assembled a booklet,  Octopus in the Ocean. Read this booklet with your child, continue to use the tracking stick as you read together. A couple of sight word readers from our reading groups are coming home to read. All booklets may stay at home to reinforce beginning reading skills.  Return the log and math pages on Thursday, Sept. 27. Please check to see if your child’s name is on all papers and sign at the bottom reading log.

Interpreting a Graph

Your children are beginning to amaze me with their computer skills. We are enjoying the stories from the Story Book Creator that several children brought in to share. The graphing from ixl math is a great way to reinforce data and graphing concepts.   Starfall is a great resource we will continue to use all year as we learn to read.

Please let me know if you have any trouble with downloading and printing homework.
