Each trimester students in the middle school (grades 6-8) are recognized for academic achievement at two levels. An average of 95% or higher in the core subjects (Religion, Language, Literature, Vocabulary, Social Studies, Math and Science) is required to receive the Sacred Heart School Academic Excellence Award or Honors with Distinction. An average of 85% to 94% in the core subjects is required to receive the Sacred Heart School Academic Achievement Award or Honors. To receive First or Second Honors, a student must maintain a grade of B or above in Effort & Behavior and earn a grade of 85% or higher in all of the core subjects. The awards will be presented at an honor roll ceremony and followed by a reception for family members and other guests.  Invitations were delivered to students who achieved this recognition for the first trimester after report cards were sent home last week.  A list of our Middle School Scholars is enclosed in The Family Envelope.  Congratulations to all who excelled during the first trimester!
