The Plant
Jim Tietz of Tri-County Building & Maintenance painted in our computer lab and library to great improvement. Electrical work is underway by Straight Line Electric to allow use of our computers and other equipment more efficiently as arranged by Robert Fields of Fields Consulting. Tracy Stickels is building shelving in the basement for better storage of teaching materials. The EDC room is undergoing a massive clean up effort. Martin Henderson of Double R Towing removed truckloads of old furniture and equipment to allow for continued updating.

The Curriculum
Boxes of consumable textbooks have arrived and the new Language Arts textbooks for 7th & 8th grade arrive soon. The middle school students will use a new Religion text this school year from Loyola Press, the same series used by kindergarten through 5th grade in previous years. A Family Life series will be added to the Religion curriculum at all the grade levels as well.

Our Religion In-Depth Study led us to plan on focusing on The Mass and The Apostles’ Creed as we continue our Saint of the month program throughout the coming school year. All of the teachers are reading two books for our continuing catechetical formation that will progress at our opening meetings in August and throughout the year.

Teachers are training on the use of our computer lab and their laptops as part of all areas of instruction and textbook publishers offer online support we are now able to use.
