Dear Families,

The fifth grade class is very proud of our Spelling Bee participants.  It was so exciting to cheer on everyone.  I am so very proud of all of them!  Tanushree Pal won the Spelling Bee! Congratulations to her, job well done.

This Friday is a noon dismissal for a staff meeting.  January 17  is no school in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Below is an overview of our week:

Math: We will continue with factors and multiples

English: This week we will be working on proper adjectives

Voc: Unit 6 test is this Friday, we will be preparing for the test this week

Spelling: Unit 17

Lit: We will continue reading “Summer School”

Social Studies:  Chapter 3 test will be on Tuesday.  Then we will begin the Chapter 4, The conquest of the Aztec and Incas

Science:  This week we will be discussing the importance of conserving fresh water

Religion:  We will be talking about the Baptism of Jesus.
