After the challenges The Thomas Fire delivered to Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties in December, we welcome January 2018 as a time to get our bearings, take up where we left off, and move forward!

Part of getting our bearings will be to use this first week in January to review academics and activities, remember our schedules, and get back into the rhythm of school days.   All four days of the week will be full days with 2:45p dismissals.  We will have PE and Music on the normal schedule and attend Mass on Friday morning.

The Family Envelope will be sent home on Thursday afternoon, January 4.  A special Family Envelope will go out on Tuesday, January 16 that will contain information related to scrip and service hours.

In an effort to take up where we left off, we will have our Parent Conferences the second week in January on the 10th, 11th, and 12th.  All three days will be 11:30a dismissal days with conferences scheduled for all three afternoons.  A new schedule was delivered in your Family Envelope during the short week before Christmas Break; please contact the office with any questions or changes regarding that schedule.

In the desire to move forward, we will celebrate Christmas with Epiphany parties in all the classrooms on Friday morning, January 12 before the 11:30a dismissal.  A flyer encouraging donations and/or participation was included in the December Family Envelope and returns in the first January Family Envelope if of interest.

Epiphany, when those wise men found the Baby Jesus and recognized His importance, is a valuable symbol as our community continues along the path carved by The Thomas Fire.

We welcome His importance in all we do as we begin again in our efforts to be life-long learners and socially aware people of faith.  Most Sacred Heart of that Baby Jesus, we place our trust in You…
