Dear Kindergarten Parents,

Thank you for coming to learn with us on Parent’s Day.  Starting with Mass, the morning was fabulous. We had a full house including some siblings and preschool guests-it was great! Your kinders enjoyed sharing class time and showing off their skills with all of you.

This week we will be celebrating Catholic School’s Week. Included this week’s celebration is Student Appreciation Day. This is on Wednesday -your students may come dress in non-uniform clothing and are treated to hot lunch courtesy of Mrs. Benner!

Our academics this week include:

Our focus on the Good Shepherd – we will make a sheep to represent ourselves as we follow Jesus and make good choices.

Segmenting and blending words as we use our beginning reading skills, sight word practice,  letter formation and sentence work. Reading practice book work with short /a/ words. Math includes work with calendar-sequencing time and events.    We will continue to watch/study the bears, via the live web cams at  National Bear Center for an understanding of hibernation. A lab on soil as we find out how seeds grow in different types of soil. We are beginning the thinking/designing process for building our landform project.

Noon Dismissal this Friday

Enjoy your week!

Mrs. Carol Brown
