Dear Families,

This Friday is a noon dismissal. There is no school next Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  Below is an overview of our week.

Math:  We will be developing strategies for estimating distance on a map.  We will also practice different strategies for the partial quotient algorithm.  There is no IXL sections this week for homework.

Vocabulary:  We are taking out unit 5 test on Tuesday.

Grammar:  Our focus this week is on linking verbs, main verbs, and helping verbs.

Social Studies:  We will be taking our chapter 3  test on Wednesday.

Science:  We will finish learning about  the Excretory System.  We are having our chapter 3 test next Tuesday.

Religion:  Our focus is on how God speaks through the readings at Mass.

Writers Workshop:  We are learning how writers of history pay attention to Geography.

Readers Workshop:  We are learning there can be several main ideas in a nonfiction book.
