Dear Kindergarten Families,

Jesus is the Light and the Way. He is here shinning within us; I see that spark each day in your children. His light has stimulated your children’s social and academic growth. They have grown in His love, caring for self and others. I see beautiful results daily in work and play. We are learning skills in writings, readings and math. With our focus on Earth Day…we turn to creation and the beauty of Earth, but also recognize the need to continue caring for the our Earth.

This week we are working in reading groups, independently working in our practice phonics book, using skills from word sorts and poems. Everyday Math finds us working with calculators, tallying coin flips, playing games with double digit numbers.

Science and social studies follow ways to help our Earth through mapping skills and natural resources. Writing how we can make our planet a better place, writing to get others attention in ways to be good stewards of our Earth.

Please note -permission slips for the upcoming field trip to the Channel Islands Museum and Visitor Center attached to my email notification.
