Fun, Fun, Fun…

This Wednesday, May 13th, is the Intermediate Grades Spring Program.  I am asking everyone to be in the hall by 6:15.  The show begins at 6:30, and fourth grade performs first! You may click here for information about suggested attire for the show. costumes If you have any questions or concerns please contact Mrs. Lyle.

Everyone enjoyed the Jogathon last Friday, and this Friday, May 15th, we will have the In-N-Out truck on campus, along with Dippin’ Dots.  If you ordered food for yourself, tickets for your meals will be at a table in front of the Scrip office.  Feel free to bring blankets and/or chairs if you are joining us for lunch.

Work, work, work…

Progress Reports were sent home last Tuesday.  If you have not already done so, please sign and return them to me this week.

This week we will be completing Reading logs, due next Monday. You may click here to access the form. Weekly_Reading_Log

We will be doing three different ixL Math skills this week, covering division, coordinate grids and elapsed time: E 21, I 3 and O5.

We have started Unit 7 in Math, which focuses upon fractions.  I will be collecting the Math Journals, part one, and sending them home for your review next Tuesday.  Students should be done with pages 153-169, excluding pages 154, 161-164, by this Friday.

We have been doing unit 28 in Spelling; the test will be tomorrow.

Students should have completed the final drafts of their personal narratives by now. I will be sending home emails if I do not have them by this Wednesday.

In Vocabulary we are working on Unit 15; test will be on Friday.  Students are making illustrations of the 12 vocabulary words, and these are due on Friday as well.

We continue our study of the state of California in Social Studies class, moving on to chapter 7.

In Grammar we continue our study of adjectives and adverbs.

This week in Science we continue chapter 6, learning about volcanoes and landslides. We will experiment with landslides tomorrow in the lab! There will be a test on this chapter next week.

In Religion class we will begin our study of the Beatitudes.

In Reading class we are transitioning over to our final literature selections.

Thanking you for your continued support,

Mrs. Dwyer
