Dear Fifth Grade Families,

Our Jogathon was a great success!  This Wednesday and Friday will be Jogathon free dress days!  This Wednesday the following students will be reciting their poems to a panel of judges: Leannah, Andrew, Bucko, Harrison, and Jacob.  Everyone did an amazing job and it was so hard for me to only pick five.  Friday is a full day and the Speech Contest winners assembly.   Below is an overview of our week:

Grammar:  Unit 6, our focus this week will be abbreviations and titles.

Vocabulary:  Unit 12

Science:  We will finish chapter 4 and have our test this Thursday.

Math:  We will have our chapter 8 test on Thursday.  We will spend this week preparing for the test.  IXL sections for this week are M.3, M.4, and M.5.

Social Studies:  Our focus this week will be the Framers of the Constitution.

Religion:  The objective this week is to recognize the value of honesty and respect in communication.

ELA:  We continue with our book, The Secret Garden.
