Dear Families,

This Wednesday is Free Dress with proceeds going to help the people in the Philippines.  Students are encouraged to try and donate more than $1.00 for this worthy cause.  Friday is a noon dismissal.  This Friday is also school wide centers. Below is an overview of our week.

Religion:  We will be learning about the Four Marks of the Church.

Vocabulary:  Unit 5

Grammar:  We will be writing the possessive form of nouns.  We will learn about appositives.  An appositive is a  word or a phrase that identifies a noun.

Social Studies.  We will continue our study of the Explorers and the lands they explored.

Science:  We will analyze how elements are arranged in the periodic table.

ELA:  This week we will be discussing great short poems.

Math:  We will be using place values to make magnitude estimates for products.
