Dear Kindergarten Families,

Our thankful week! It sure came quickly. This short week our academics will focus on Thanksgiving today and long ago. No homework packet this week—that may be something to be thankful for as well!

November 24 is Kaytlin’s birthday!  She will celebrate her sixth birthday on Tuesday with our class at lunch.

Wednesday school dismisses at 12:00 to begin the Thanksgiving Holiday. No school on Friday.

Please look for the Scholastic Book order coming home Tuesday of this week. Return date will be indicated on form. The December Volunteer calendar is coming home this week as well. A big thank you to all who were able to come in and help Friday for Primary Centers. Our next PC is soon…December 3. If you can help please sign up on calendar.

Many students are ready for a new set of crayons — please buy  a  12 or 16 count of crayons–

I was happy to see some of my kindergartners were able to take the extra step for homework–by creating a comic and using their sight words. Parents…why not take one of the evenings you read with your child and create a comic? Visit this link              Comic Creator

enjoy what your child can create!

Just around the corner…..

Teddy Bear Day is Tuesday, December 7.  Please purchase a teddy bear or stuffed animal and bring to school next week.

Teddy Bear day is a special tradition Sacred Heart has been involved in for many years. To brighten Christmas for the less fortunate children in Central Los Angeles, our school brings a new teddy bear or stuffed animal. This gift supports  the Archdiocesan Adopt-a-Family program.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
