Dear Kindergarten Parents,

We are nearing the end of October and getting ready for the Saint’s Parade on November 1.  Next Friday try to set aside time in the morning, as this is something you do not want to miss! Your little saints will come to school dressed in costume, with uniform underneath. They will proceed into Mass (8:30) and sit in the first rows of pews on the right side of church. The last part of this event is to march around the campus showing off their costumes.

Our religion lessons continue with learning about several saints. Our SLEs are discussed daily as we learn kindness and care for ourselves as well as others. SLE A. 3 Help others at home, in school and in the world is our focus this week.

ELA has us working to complete identifying the alphabet while we work on rhyming skills, blending sounds, and grammar practice. Reading wordless books and looking at the sequence of events that take place – using this information to write a simple book report.

Math lessons concentrate on patterns and measurement. Everyday we count by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s and calendar work.

Science continues with the five senses and a lab to learn hands-on. Social studies finds us working to remember our responsibilities as good citizens.

Library books are coming home today- we actually forgot to pack them on Friday. Read and return on Wednesday in order to check out a new book.

Donut day is on Wednesday- we need to fill the order so the last day to bring in a $1.oo is Monday — no donuts are being sold on Wednesday.

Friday is a full day of school. With a school family activity in the afternoon.

Enjoy your week

God bless your  families,

Mrs. Carol Brown
