Dear SHS Parents!
The month of April will find us voting for upcoming vacated Board positions. As your PTC Board, we offer you friendship, camaraderie, challenges, laughter, and a sense of well-being. BE A PART OF YOUR SCHOOL AND ITS FUTURE by volunteering to help our school continue the excellence we’ve come to expect!
The described positions are to be filled for next year’s board. At this time we are looking for nominations of individuals, and self-nominations are welcomed! The President, 2nd VP-Fundraising, Historian Chair, Hospitality Chair and Service Hour Chair positions are filled through elections within the school. A Board position will fulfill your annual service hour commitment.
The following elected positions are a two-year commitment:
President: Shall preside at all meetings of the Executive Board and Council. Prepare the Council calendar with the concurrence of the Executive Board. See that all decisions of the Executive Board and Council are carried out.
2nd VP-Fundraising: Shall be the Ways and Means Chairperson and all fund-raising committee chairpersons shall report to him or her.
Historian Chair: Keeps a photo record of events & prepares the year-end slide show
Hospitality Chair: Reaches out to new families and coordinates social gatherings and assistance to SHS families.
Service Hour Chair: Tallies service hours per family; collects fees in lieu of hours served.
Please look for your upcoming PTC Nomination Ballot coming home soon in the Family Envelope! REMEMBER! Your involvement with the PTC Board would fulfill your 2012-2013 service hour requirements. Help make a difference in your child’s school! Be a part of the PTC!
