This week middle school participated in collaborative group projects. The project in Mrs. Clemmensen’s classroom was to choose a new city for the State of California. The students first learned about current state capitals and architecture principles. The next step was to evaluate the factors needed for a city to be a great location for a state capital. The students did research and proposed a city to their group. The group then decided on one city and wrote a proposal and designed a 3d model. Each group presented their city and model to the class and 5th grade. The choices of cities were excellent. Each group did a great job on the proposal and models.
