Dear Families,

This week begins our first week of  the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS).  Please make sure that your child is on time because we start testing at 8 am.  We will test this week and next week all morning.  This Friday is a full day of school with a 2:45 dismissal.  Below is our schedule for the week.

Math:  Our focus this week is addition and subtraction of whole numbers and decimals.  We will be reviewing the partial sums methods.  There is no IXL homework for this week.

Science:  I have moved our chapter 1 test to Wednesday instead of Tuesday.

Social Studies:  We will have our States Tests this Tuesday.  We will start reviewing for our  chapter 2 test which will be next Tuesday, October 2nd.

Vocabulary:  Unit 2

Grammar:  We will focus on complex sentences, correcting fragments and run on sentences.

Religion:  Baptism Unites Us with the Christian Community.
