Dear Second Grade Families,
Thank you for all your wishes and gifts of appreciation on Teacher Appreciation Day. The flowers are still beautiful and being enjoyed. I thank you for all of you. Thank you to those parents who were able to join us on Friday for Parents’ Day. Some of you stayed the entire time and some only for a little while; some shared themselves with sibling(s) in another grade(s).
The 100th Day projects were very interesting and enjoyable. I hope your child had a good time with this project. Thank you for your guidance.
Valentine’s Day will be celebrated on Monday, February 14. Cards (for everyone) will need to be brought in on that morning for distribution. There will be a celebration later in the day. Students may also wear Valentine themed (hearts, etc) and/or colored (red, pink, purple etc.) accessories with the bottom part of their uniform. If your student does not have anything to fit these categories, their uniform shirt will do just fine as there is a heart on it!
FLAT PEOPLE UPDATE…  We sent letters to our wonderful hosts. Included in the letters was a request to return the flat people and a big’ Thank you’. The rest of the project directions will go out the week of February 14. This should allow enough time for completion for the school fair (Wednesday, March 2nd).
