Week of November 14-18, 2011

Dear Second Grade Families,

Hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend, rain and all! We are nearing the end of the first trimester. This week is 5-day week with a noon dismissal on Friday and a $1.00 non-uniform dress day on Wednesday with the money going to The St. Vincent de Paul Society to help with holiday giving for needy families.

FLAT PERSON UPDATE: Our second grade flat people are having a good time adjusting to their host families. They have had Halloween adventures, costumes and trick or treating. Some have already been to “work”. We are also receiving information about different parts of our country. We will soon be sending Thanksgiving cards and greetings.

HOMEWORK for this week will be a spelling packet (unit 12 is a review of units 7-11) and the reading log. Be sure to fill in all information on the reading log (name, number and dates) and follow directions, and write neatly. Students are to do the writing!
