Hello Third Grade Families!

I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend. This week we will continue our studies with…

Math: Unit 5: Place Value in Whole Numbers and Decimals. This week we will turn from the very large to the very small – decimals! The class will cover lessons 5.7-5.9.

As always, see the Home Links at www.everydaymathonline.com for extra practice with skills learned in class. Your child’s username and password can be found in his/her planner.

For IXL this week, students are to complete the following third grade skills:

W.1 What decimal number is illustrated?

W.3 Word Names for Decimals

W.5 Compare Decimals

Math facts testing continues and will go on until each student meets every goal. Below is a copy of the 8 individual multiplication and division goals. Students should be studying their specific goal at home for 10-15 minutes every night. In doing so, remember to reinforce the relationship between multiplication and division. (It’s all skip counting.) Click here for the list of math facts goals for 3rd grade.
