Dear Third Grade Parents and Families,

This week we celebrate Catholic Schools Week. Thank you to the parents who helped out during Sunday’s Open House. I saw many students and families both from within the Sacred Heart School community and those who are very interested in joining us.

On Monday, Candy Gram sales will continue. The plan is to send them out to our troops early so that they may reach them by Valentine’s Day, so be sure to buy one this week while they are available.

Then, on Tuesday, we celebrate Student Appreciation Day!!! I have been very blessed to have an outstanding class this year so on this day there will be no homework. You will see this in your packet where Tuesday is marked. Enjoy! This is also a FREE dress day.

Wednesday is Teacher Appreciation Day, Thursday is Parish Appreciation Day and finally, Friday is all about you: Parent Appreciation Day. Our classroom parents have been so supportive and it is much appreciated by both your children and the teachers alike.

As the week marches on, please remember to send one paper towel roll with your child. We are using the cardboard centers for a craft on Friday and need them to prep no later than Wednesday.

Also, as we continue with our study of multiplication and division, please work with your child every night for a moment on learning his or hear math facts. My goal is to get every student through all 10 goals so that we are all prepared for the challenges of 4th grade. I understand that learning these facts takes a lot of time, but with even just a little bit every night it can be done. I will continue to assess students daily in the mornings.
