Dear Parents,                     December 16, 2013

The last week of school for 2013!!  What an exciting week it will be!  We have finished theme 4 in our reading series.  We will spend our language arts time this week making a special gift for our Secret Santa gift exchange, reading Christmas books, and practicing opinion writing.

We are still in the middle of our chapter 4 in math and will spend this week practicing timelines as well as our basic facts which will bring us to a nice stopping point before the break.

We will continue with our study of the birth of Our Savior in religion.

We will pause on science and spend what time we have reviewing all that we have learned in social studies through the help of our Studies Weekly magazine.

Reminders and Announcements for the week:

  • Remember to bring Secret Santa Stockings in tomorrow (Monday)!
  • PE uniforms on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • The Christmas Program is Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at Biedermann Hall at 6pm. Please arrive at this time. The story is quite touching, the children are absolutely adorable and they sound terrific!
  • Please remind your child to bring their library book to school on Tuesday in the hopes that we will be able to check out a new one to read over Christmas break!
  • Friday is a noon dismissal with mass, followed by our secret Santa exchange, and our Christmas party!!! A big “Thank You!” to the parents who are planning our party!

Have a wonderful week and blessed Christmas.

Ms. Manning
