Dearest Third Grade Families,

Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and was able to get some rest in as we enter the home stretch of this school year.

This week we’ll be studying the following:

Math: The class will continue Unit 9 (Multiplication & Division) covering lessons 9.5 and 9.6 with a focus on practicing with the “partial-products algorithm.” As always, you are welcome to follow along with us by completing the “Home Links” at www.everydaymathonline.com. Your child’s username and password can be found in his/her planner.

Likewise, we continue to practice your multiplication and division facts. There will be no IXL math homework this week. Instead, please study your math facts.

Reading & Writing: The class will continue to read and explore leveled fiction and non-fiction texts in small reading groups.
