Dear Third Grade Families,

We made it! Summer vacation is just around the corner! As always, there will be many special events taking place as this is the last week of school. Below you will find a short outline:

Monday: Field Day

Tuesday: Yearbooks distributed. Students have been asked not to use Sharpie markers. Rather, pens and pencils are just fine for signing.

Wednesday: We will be attending the 8:30 graduation mass followed by the awards ceremony in the church.

Thursday: As it is Spirit Day, this will be a Free Dress Day. We will be playing a game of kick ball with 4th grade in the later part of the morning followed by lunch at 11:00. Remember that this is a noon dismissal day and the last day of EDC.

Friday: This is the last day of 3rd grade! We will attend mass at 8:30. Dismissal will be at 10:00. There will be no EDC available, so please be sure to make arrangements for your child’s pick-up. Report cards will go home on this day as well.

Last Friday the boys and girls of third got a taste of 4th grade on Move Up Day. Mrs. Redmond was able to answer many questions the students have had on their minds and even handed out a work packet. Should you have any questions or concerns about this transition, please feel free to contact her during the summer at fourthgrade@sacredheartschoolventura.org. I’m sure she’ll be happy to assist.

Finally I’d like to thank our Room Moms (Mrs. Glauser, Mrs. Merkord, Mrs. Jordon and Mrs. Delgado) for all of their help this year. Teaching 27 students is a undoubtedly a team effort and so all of your help was very much appreciated by both myself and the students.

Take care and have a great summer!

Best,

Mrs. Espinosa
